Participation at the Gordon Research Conference on AI for Materials, Energy, and Chemical Sciences
Akhil participated in the 2026 Gordon Research Conference on AI for Materials, Energy, and Chemical Sciences, held February 1–6, 2026, under the theme “Autonomous Discovery Across Scales.”
The conference brought together researchers from academia, industry, national laboratories, and government to discuss emerging approaches for applying artificial intelligence to materials, energy, and chemical sciences. Topics included autonomous discovery, materials informatics, foundation models, machine learning for atomistic simulations, optimization, and data-driven research workflows.
The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange ideas with researchers working across the rapidly developing interface between AI and scientific discovery.
