Joining Checklist

A rough checklist for your first two weeks.

Before you arrive

• Get added to the group chat / mailing list
• Get access to shared drive, gitlab account, overleaf project and compute resources
• Read the Values and Expectations pages
• Share your photo and brief bio to be added to the group webpage

First week

• Start processing administrative requirements (me and group members will help)
• Set up your development environment (see Tech Stack)
• Meet 1:1 with me and other team members involved in the project to set initial goals
• Meet the rest of the group
• Read two or three recent group papers

First month

• Pick (or be assigned) a starter project
• Give a short intro talk at group meeting
• Set up recurring 1:1s
